How do I know my store's referrals are being counted?
Every partner gets a unique store code printed on their sign and referral cards. When a customer calls us and mentions your store name or code, and a confirmed on-site visit takes place, you earn $100. On the 5th of each month you receive an earnings statement showing all attributed visits and commissions. If you ever have a question about an attribution, just email us.
What if a customer calls from home after visiting my store?
Any customer who mentions your store name or code when they call us — whether they're still in your store, outside, or calling later from home after picking up your card — gets attributed to you. It's the store code that counts, not where the call is made from.
Are there any types of jobs that don't count for commission?
Commissions apply to any confirmed on-site visit (free estimate) attributed to your store code: water damage remediation, mold removal, fire and smoke damage restoration. The visit must actually take place — if a customer schedules but cancels before our team arrives, that visit does not qualify. No-shows do not qualify either.
What if I want to end the partnership?
Send us an email or text to (917) 352-8800 with 30 days notice — that's all. We'll process any outstanding commissions for visits already confirmed within that window. After 30 days, you remove our signage and we close out your partner page. No penalties, no clawback of any payments already made.
Can I have multiple Flooded signs in different parts of my store?
Absolutely. Some partners display a window cling at the entrance and a smaller counter sign near the register. We encourage whatever placement you're comfortable with. All calls route through the same store code regardless of which sign prompts them.
Is this exclusive — can I work with other restoration companies?
The agreement is non-exclusive. You can maintain other referral arrangements with other companies. We simply ask that when a customer specifically asks for a restoration referral, you lead with Flooded — that's all. We don't control your business or limit your other relationships.

We have trucks across New York and are available 24/7 for any emergency. We are fully licensed and insured, and we guarantee every job we complete — no exceptions.
How do you pay me — and how fast?
You choose your preferred payment method at onboarding: Zelle, Venmo, PayPal or ACH direct deposit. We don't deduct any fees regardless of which method you pick — what you earn is what you receive. The $300 signing grant is sent within 14 business days of signing. Monthly retainers go out on the 1st of each month. Visit commissions are paid within 14 business days of the confirmed visit. Zelle and Venmo payments typically arrive within minutes.
Do I need to verify jobs or collect any information from customers?
No. When a customer calls using their store code, our dispatch team handles everything — the assessment, the scheduling, the job, and the payment tracking. You have zero administrative work after the referral. Just hand them the card.
How do you handle the tax reporting side?
If your annual earnings from the partnership exceed $600, we will issue you a 1099-NEC for the year, as is standard for independent contractor payments. We'll request your business EIN or SSN at the time of your first payment. You are responsible for reporting partnership income on your own tax return.
How many partners do you accept per area?
We limit partnerships to one or two stores per defined geographic area (typically a 2–3 mile radius). This keeps your referral number meaningful and ensures we're not over-saturating any neighborhood. If you're in a competitive area, applying early matters.
What does the sign actually look like? Is it intrusive?
It's a professional, compact window cling or small mounted sign — roughly 8"×6". Clean design in Flooded.com branding with your unique store code printed on it. It's designed to look like a professional affiliation badge, not a loud advertisement. We can send you a photo of the final design before you commit.
